Finding myself at St. Louis Bread company, I had lunch with a younger minister. I enjoy getting together with younger ministers so I can see if I am losing touch with what is happening in the world or not. I asked him about what books he had been reading and he mentioned the book, The Shack. I like to think I am current but I had never heard to this book. He told me it was a great book and a popular one as well. So, the next day I went on a hunt to get the book. Calling the local Christian book store I had them save me a copy. I brought it home and Phyllis began to read it and now I have joined her on this reading adventure. So far, this book has touched me at an emotional level and has made me think about God and His dealings with me. I would recommend it as a book that will make you think about God. Since I have gotten the book I seem to see it everywhere. It is a bestseller and is even available at Sam’s Club. Let me know if you have read it or heard of it.
