This
week I am home alone. Phyllis, my spouse, is gone to be a part of a
mission experience in Indiana. She is cooking and helping my son and
daughter in law who are a part of a group that are doing a mission
week in their home town. They are learning and working among the
‘locals’ who have found themselves in need. I write all of this to
let you, the reader, know I am alone and in some ways very glad to be
alone. I am going to use this time to pray for this group as they
show God’s love to others.
Being
alone not only will allow me to pray but to once again learn how much
my spouse means to me. It has been written that absence makes the
heart grow fonder. From many past experiences I know the truth of
that statement and will find the truth of it again this week.
