Last
week I found myself in Belgium helping out in getting a party ready
for my son’s celebration of his obtaining a PhD in theology. I had
a great time and even made a few new friends. I am naturally proud
of a son who has worked hard to obtain his doctorate. Now both of my
sons have their doctorates and both are college teachers. As I
reflect on my son’s what really stands out to me is their
compassion and love for all. Both are involved in ministries to help
those who are needy and both have a heart for those some would
consider less fortunate.
I
had a great time in Belgium. What a joy to be able to spend time
with family. I am blessed in so many ways. I hope that I will
always realize how blessed I truly am. Today I am going to just
think about all the ways I am blessed. What a joy to be a part of a
loving family that cares for each other. I am asking God for help in
living a thankful life. Let me repeat I am blessed and that blessing
comes from a God who continues to bless us all.
