This past weekend Phyllis and I had company. These friends have been our friends for over 35 years. We looked around St. Louis together. We tried a restaurant that was new to us all. (Fountains on Locust Street) There was even time to watch some movies. Of course we talked a great deal about a wide variety of subjects. From my viewpoint it was a good time.
I don’t think it as much as I should but I am blessed to have friends that have known me for years and have stood by me through the years. Growing older has taught me that good friends are a gift from God. I have also learned to have friends one must be a friend. Today I am asking God to help me be a better friend.
For me this means taking more time for my friends and being the best friend I can be. My life is enriched in many ways because of those who have shared a part of their lives with me. Today I rejoice in those I call friends.
