Some days are harder than others for me. Take today for example, I really do not have much stress. In fact today I have a rather light load of work to be done. But I am sitting here in my office wishing I was somewhere else. And I am not even sure where I wish I could be. Maybe it has to do with the weather. It is not a pretty day out there. In fact it is gloomy. Or maybe it has to do with the fact that I don’t have an exciting day ahead. Whatever the reason I sit here wondering about myself.
I know there will be days like this. It has happened to me more than once in my lifetime. To help my outlook I am going to take a short ride in my vehicle. My destination is a nursing home that is home to several people that I have grown to love. One lady is always upbeat and never complains. In fact she will ask me a lot of questions about my life. I know that this trip will help me in many ways. I always walk away from that home grateful to God for my life and for those people who are a shining light in a dark world. Perhaps today will not be so hard after all.
